Our company has specialized in real estate in the Elgin, Bastrop County area for over twenty years! Our office is a circa 1897 home that Sandy moved to our present location six years ago.

We are a friendly, experienced, professional team of realtors and assistants who take great pride in our real estate company in Elgin, Texas. Each of us contributes something unique to the company. We have an unusual, relaxed environment.

Sandra J. Menley:
Sandy has been the owner/manager of Winkler & Co., Elgin Branch Office since 1985. Her experience in selling all types of properties - residential, ranches and commercial, as well as her reputation as an energetic problem solver have earned her numerous awards as Top Sales Agent, Realtor of the Year and Top Listing Agent from the Bastrop County Board of Realtors.

On a personal note, Sandy loves living on her small ranch outside Elgin where she manages a small herd of crossbred cows and a few horses and donkeys. As an "old barrel racer," she can understand what her farm and ranch clients are looking for.

Annual trips to Honduras with M.E.D.I.C.O. to provide medical, dental and eye care to impoverished, remote villages help her keep things in perspective and further her goal to become BI-lingual.

Sally Hoverstock:
Sally is Sandy's "right arm." She oversees processing contracts as well as all the other 'nuts and bolts' of the business!

Richard Michalski:
Richard obtained his Real Estate Broker's license in 1986. He is an experienced commercial and farm and ranch Appraiser as well as a residential, ranch and commercial Real Estate Broker/Agent. In addition, he is a state certified General Real Estate Appraiser whose expertise is in the Texas Department of Transportation's Highway Condemnation.

Richard grew up in the Del Valle Area. In 1984, he graduated from Texas A & M with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics. Richard combines his real estate experience and his extensive knowledge of the cattle business to help and advise our clients.

Tamy Henthorn:
Tamy makes the office at Winkler & Co. run smoothly! She moved to the Elgin area in 1998 from the Panhandle where she grew up. Her varied experience at previous jobs has made her a valuable addition to our operation.

Kathy Delvige
Kathy started in real estate in Corpus Christi many years ago. Her experience in a variety of fields enhances her return to real estate in Elgin. She is particularly knowledgeable about raising horses and goats. Kathy grew up in Austin and has lived in the Lexington area for the last ten years.

Bert Schrieber
Bert spent the first four years of his life in Amarillo (Dumas, actually) before his family dragged him back east. It took a while, but he finally made his way back to Texas in 1980, first in Dallas, then Austin in 1982. He has called McDade home since 1997.

Prior to becoming involved in the real estate business, Bert spent over thirty years in the information technology sector, holding a number sales and sales management positions, in the U.S. and internationally. Overseas assignments included Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and England.

Bert enjoys working with people and particularly enjoys the variety and diversity of the greater Elgin marketplace. Properties range from residential to ranchland. Clients include first time buyers to retirees to investors, each looking for that special home or piece of land.

Lee Gilbert
Lee Gilbert has been licensed in real estate since 1990, but has been buying and selling for herself since 1972. She believes real estate is the one sure-fire investment and still loves finding just the right home for people. She will try as hard for you as she would for herself.

Office Cat
Our office cat is appropriately named O.C. Mind you HE is the office manager! After running away from home twice (which we found out is 7 miles away) O.C. has found a permanent home at the Winkler office. We think his "bobtail with a kink in it" gives him a very individual look. He divides his time between the sunny window in the conference room and under Tamy's desk lamp, but his favorite spot is hanging over the top of Sally's computer monitor. We think he's found a career he can stay with!
